Jelles Fonda's House
Jelles Fonda House was built in 1791 and is located in Fonda NY. Mr. Fonda died before its completion and his funeral was held inside the house with boards utilized as temporary flooring in the center room. Originally very plain, it was grecianized in the 1860's by raising the front roof and adding columns and new wood work.
